OUTLOOK

This year’s Skiatook Bulldogs return a wealth of experience. “With only one senior in 2023, we are returning eight starters from last season,” head coach Jordan Jones said. “We’ve been a young team the last two years, but hopefully that experience will pay off in a big way this fall. With two seniors, several juniors and plenty of newcomers, we are hoping to play with a lot of experience and excitement next fall.” Jadyn Whinery (Sr.) will lead this year’s last dance with the Skiatook class of 2024. Whinery has been a staple in the Bulldogs’ lineup since she stepped foot onto a varsity diamond. “Jadyn will be a senior and has been a starter since her freshman year,” Jones said. “She plays pitcher and center field. She’s also a power hitter and was voted a captain last season. She’s been a three-time all-district selection, as well.”

Another senior, Kylie Garrison, has made the most of every opportunity during her varsity career, regardless of what hand she was dealt. “Kylie will be a senior this year and she has been on the team for four years,” Jones said. “Kylie has played multiple positions over the years and would do anything to help her team win. She truly understands what it means to be a good teammate and a Lady Bulldog.” Kenedi Hamer (So.) played a crucial role as only a freshman last year. She became an every day starter at third base and consistently hit in the top-middle of the lineup. “With the experience she gained last season, we are expecting her to show more confidence and play even better.”
