Coweta High School
Hunter Reavis is a multi-sport athlete at Coweta High School. He wrestles and is on the track team, but football is the sport he loves the most.
“I was going into fourth grade and my dad said, ‘Hey, do you want to try football?’ The rest is history,” said Reavis
Only a sophomore, football has taught him to stay consistent and trust the process. Reavis’ dad has reinforced this lesson with the following advice.
“Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard,” says Hunter. “Dad has taught and shown me that hard work will take you places.”
He treasures the brotherhood and relationships built with his team and is passionate about the challenges of football. Hunter plays offensive right guard and defensive nose guard.

The Coweta community stands behind CHS athletics. Hunter is proud to represent his community as they support his athletic efforts. Looking back, he is most proud of his football team from eighth and ninth grade for having an undefeated 8-0 record two years in a row. Teammates like Deacon Peterson prepared Hunter for the reality of high school football.
“Deacon showed me what high school ball was like and didn’t take it easy on me as a freshman,” says Reavis.
His favorite teacher is Mr. Higgins from freshman year.
“He and I would joke around about nonsense. It made Algebra fun,” said Reavis.
Hunter’s family plays a significant role in his life.
“I want to say thank you to my family, especially my parents for pushing me to become a better player and more importantly, a better person every day,” said Reavis.
Hunter is a regular high school student when he is not prepping for his next game. He looks forward to eating his mom’s homemade meatloaf, hanging out with friends, hunting, and riding motocross.
