9 Q’s with Bishop Kelley’s Erin Jolin – Presented by RibCrib BBQ

VYPE Intern – Emma Chastain sat down with Bishop Kelley’s Erin Jolin to get to know about some of her highlights throughout her career.

Emma: As you are starting your last season of basketball at Bishop Kelley, who has been the most influential coach?

Erin: Coach Linda Garrett, Because she has such a warm and inviting personality and I came into BK very scared, but she made basketball feel like such a safe environment.

Emma: During these 4 years, did you or do you have any teammates that you admire or that supported you? 

Erin: I definitely admire my teammates,  Anne Blakenship, Kate Klimisch and Julia Grisaffe.

Emma: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Erin: How to be resilient because in basketball there are going to be times where you arent always successful but you can always learn how to be better the next time.

Emma: What has been your favorite memory from high school?

Erin: Kiss your mom Goodbye day as seniors, I have looked forward to it since freshman year.

Emma: What activities are you involved in other than basketball?

 Erin: Link Crew, Comets for Life, North Tulsa Learning Center.

Emma: What do you like to do to relax when you are not playing or practicing basketball?

Erin: Reading, Painting, Watching TV, more specifically my comfort shows: Gilmore Girls, Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Emma: What is your proudest basketball moment or achievement?

Erin: Being elected captain as a junior.

Emma: Who is your favorite professional basketball player and why?

Erin: Steven Adams, I admire him because he is a post player.

Emma: What is next for you in basketball? Do you have any shout outs?
