VYPE: Crew, what grade are you in and what position do you play?
Crew Byerly: I’m a junior and I play guard/wing.
VYPE: What part of your game is most improved coming into this season?
CB: My most improved part of my game is my shooting and defense.
VYPE: What do you love most about being a student athlete at Owasso HS?
CB: Development of a strong work ethic, building friendships with teammates, and holding me accountable with time management between schoolwork and basketball.
VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates?
CB: I have known most of my teammates for a very long time, they are people I can talk too and have fun with.
VYPE: What’s your favorite subject in school and do you have a favorite teacher?
CB: Favorite subject is Science. Favorite teacher is Mrs. Pepin.
VYPE: Which teammate always impresses you the most or do you have a former teammate who left an impression on you?
CB: There are several guys on the team, current and previous teammates, that have left a lasting impression on me for various reasons both on and off the court.
VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate?
CB: If I get the chance to play college basketball after high school, I will take that opportunity.
VYPE: Do you have a favorite place to play and what is the toughest gym to play in on the road?
CB: My favorite place to play is on our home court in Owasso. One of the toughest gyms has been Edmond Memorial because of their small gym size and large student section.
VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life on or off the court?
CB: My mom and dad, because they work hard and make sacrifices for me and my two sisters.
