Soccer Talk with Owasso’s Teya Bigknife – Presented by RibCrib

VYPE: What do you love most about being a student-athlete at Owasso HS?

Teya Bigknife: I love getting the opportunity to meet so many amazing people and to be involved in many activities whether sports, FFA, or senior events.

VYPE: What grade are you in and what position do you play?

TB: I’m a senior and I play center midfield.

VYPE: What part of your game is most improved coming into this season?

TB: I would say that my first touch has improved a lot.

VYPE: How long have you played soccer and who is your favorite player?

TB: I’ve played soccer since I was four years old, and my favorite soccer player is Mohammed Salah on Liverpool.

VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates?

TB: My favorite things about my teammates are that they are incredibly hardworking and that everyone plays with a selfless attitude.

VYPE: What’s your favorite subject in school and do you have a favorite teacher?

TB: My favorite subject is English, and my favorite teacher is Ms. Cannady because she is very knowledgeable about the agriculture industry, and she genuinely cares about all of her students.

VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate?

TB: After graduation, I’m going to continue playing soccer at Benedictine College where I will study finance, and I hope to attend law school afterward.

VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

TB: I love listening to music, playing my ukulele and guitar, and spending time with my friends.

VYPE: If you could watch a match anywhere in the world, where would you go?

TB: I would love to go to Anfield to watch a Liverpool game.

VYPE: Which teammates have impressed you this season?

TB: My teammates Anderson Rogers and Aspen Reimer have really impressed me. Despite both being underclassmen, they are both really talented, smart, and hardworking players.
