Jaycee Meissinger & Lady Tigers Making Serious Noise – Presented by Century 21 – Amanda Curtsinger

The Lady Tigers have enjoyed two great months of basketball, going 14-1 through late January. Coweta senior Jaycee Meissinger plays guard and is someone who loves to compete.

Meissinger said she’s been impressed with the team this year and their focus on reaching their final goal of a state title.

“What teammate I’m impressed by is… all of them. They all show up every day to continue to grow and work to our new goals we set. We all know when to put our game face on and take things seriously! Teamwork makes the dream work,” said Meissinger.

The senior said she stays ready to compete by focusing on the game.

“How I mentally prepare for my competition is I just remember this is a game and to always have fun,” said Meissinger.

At CHS, teamwork and playing for each other is part of what makes this team dangerous.

“What I love most about my teammates is the bond we all share. We are always there for each other no matter what, outside and inside of basketball,” said Meissinger.

Always working on her game, Meissinger said she has continued to improve and is working hard to prepare for playing at the next level.

“The part of my game that has improved this year so far is my confidence. I Think I’ve learned that this year is my last year, and I shouldn’t let my fear hold me back,” Meissinger said. “My goal for life after high school is to go to college to play basketball and to pursue coaching.”

For inspiration, Meissinger said she only has to look to her mother.

“Who inspires me, my mom. She always told me I can when I always thought I couldn’t. Her strength is what I strive to have one day. She always gives a hundred percent no matter the end results.”
