VYPE: How long have you played soccer?

Claire Lieser: I started playing soccer 11 years ago, when I was five years old.

VYPE: What first got you interested in the sport?

CL: My parents signed me up when I was little, but I have since fell in love with soccer.

VYPE: Do you have a favorite memory in your time competing for Glenpool?

CL: My favorite memory so far is bundling up and scrimmaging against my teammates in the snow.

VYPE: Let’s talk about your teammates. Which player on your team would you not want to go up against?

CL: Alexis Jiles.

VYPE: Who is the fastest?

CL: Aria Factor.

VYPE: The loudest?

CL: Daizy Thomas.

VYPE: Who keeps everyone laughing?

CL: Niang Tawi.

VYPE: What song hypes you up before a game?

CL: My taste of music does not typically include hype music, but the music my teammates play before games gets me hype and ready to play.

VYPE: What is your go to post-game meal?

CL: I try to eat healthy leading up to a game, and I therefore end up indulging in far-from-healthy meals at fast food restaurants.

VYPE: Who do you look to as a role model and why?

CL: Ever since I was little, I’ve had an admiration for Alex Morgan. Now I not only look up to her as a player, but as an advocate for equity in sports.

VYPE: What is your favorite subject in school?

CL: My favorite school subject is English.

VYPE: What are your plans after high school?

CL: As of now, I want to go to college to become an elementary teacher.
