KIPP TULSA UNIVERSITY PREP BULLDOGS
Coach: TERENCE CARR
2-6
KIPP Tulsa University Prep moves into the 2026 season under head coach Terence Carr, who enters his third year at the helm after a 2-6 finish in 2025. Carr and his staff, which includes assistants working across the skill positions and line play, are focused on developing a young program and building sustained competitiveness in the Tulsa area. With another offseason in the system, they expect their returning core to help raise the standard on both offense and defense.
Offensively, KIPP Tulsa will lean heavily on junior wide receiver Braylon Thomas, a 6-foot-5 playmaker who is also the school’s Top 100 nominee. The offensive front is anchored by seniors Derrion Thomas and Rasheen Gaines, giving the Bulldogs size and experience in the trenches. Carr describes Braylon as “a true game-changer in every phase of the game,” citing his “explosive playmaking ability—turning routine touches into big gains and consistently putting pressure on the defense.”

Defensively, KIPP Tulsa features several impact players who give the unit versatility on the back end and at the line of scrimmage. Senior strong safety Nate Richardson (6-6, 205) headlines the defense alongside junior defensive tackle Jeremiah Butler and junior defensive back Kylan Bowie. Carr notes that Braylon also makes his mark on defense with “a natural instinct for the ball, creating turnovers and making momentum-shifting plays when it matters most,” further underscoring his two-way importance. Special teams are another area where KIPP Tulsa expects to create advantages. Carr notes that Braylon is “just as dangerous” on special teams, with “the ability to flip field position or break one for a score at any moment,” making him a threat whenever he has the ball. With their core of upperclassmen leaders and a staff focused on player development, KIPP Tulsa aims to translate individual talent into more wins and a stronger overall season in 2026.
