CATOOSA VOLLEYBALL

Coach: BRANDI WILSEY

23-16

OUTLOOK

Entering the 2025 season, head coach Brandi Wilsey is filling in some starting position vacated by a large graduating class. Despite losing several key players, Wilsey is confident in the player who are returning and expects the team to grow as the season moves forward. “After graduating five starting seniors and having two returning starters, we are in a season of growth with excitement for the future. We are excited to see the growth and potential of this team in the upcoming season. A lot of our younger players have been working in the off season and it is showing this summer on the court,” said coach Wilsey.

Tinsley Mitchell (Sr.) is the lone senior and will be a four-year starter when the season starts. A player who can do it all, Mitchell is an outstanding outside hitter and left back. “She reads hitters on the other side so well and is always thinking a step ahead of where she needs to be. She is a strong returning leader that we are excited to have,” said coach Wilsey.

A three-year starter to watch is Emma DeArmond (Jr.) is currently the middle blocker and as a lefty, it allows the team to run some plays that opponents don’t normally see. DeArmond is everything you want in a team player. “Emma will always do the job asked of her. She is an amazing leader both on and off the court. She plays with a level of intensity and competitiveness that every coach hopes their players all possess,” said coach Wilsey.

Also look for Adilyn Chisum (So.) and Sydnee McClure (So.), two sophomores who bring athleticism and a high IQ to the court for Catoosa. Chisum saw some action last season and continues to improve her skill set in all aspects of the game. McClure is a steady force on the team and someone everyone enjoys being around.

The first game on the schedule is set for August 11th at home against Lincoln Christian. The season will wrap up on September 30th at home against Locust Grove.
