Behind the Plate with Skiatook Junior Bailey Hartman – Presented by Tulsa Bone & Joint

Skiatook High School’s Bailey Hartman plays catcher for the Lady Bulldogs and her travel team, Texas Glory NEOK. As a member of the varsity team, Hartman said she appreciates the Lady Bulldogs squad and how they come together to compete and represent SHS.

“On my high school team we may disagree at times, but we ultimately come together and consistently support one another as a team,” said Hartman. “My primary goal for improvement this season is to strengthen my leadership on the field by becoming more vocal and communicative.”

Hartman said one player has stood out on the varsity team and she’s thankful to have played with her this season.

“The most vocal teammate on my high school team was Shae Smith. She is graduating this year and will be greatly missed on the field.”

Her goal for the future consists of more softball and continuing her education at the next level.

“My goal is to play college softball and earn a degree a medical degree in Dermatology,” Hartman said.

Away from school, you can usually find Hartman in the wight room preparing to compete with the powerlifting team at SHS. Athletics continues to guide Hartman on the field and in life.

“Athletics has taught me the importance of patience and perseverance,” Hartman said.
