CATOOSA INDIANS

23-24 Record: 19-10
OUTLOOK
If you’re looking for a team willing to grind out wins, look no further than the Catoosa Indians. Head coach Evan Drake said this team have embraced the grind and are willing to do whatever it takes to pick up the win.
“I think we have a hard nose team that isn’t afraid to do the dirty work. This group plays hard and with a chip on their shoulder. We have our eyes set on the state tournament this year as we have been knocked out in Area two years in a row,” said coach Drake.
Sutton Woods (6-4, Sr.) is a lights-out shooting guard who can take over a game. With improved defense, Woods is becoming one of the top all-around players in the state. Woods currently holds two offers to play at the next level. Joining Woods in the backcourt is Chance Handley (6-0, Sr.) at point guard. Handley is a solid player who can step things up on the defensive end.
“ ”If it’s post play you like, look for forwards Ethan Bowen (6-8, Sr.) and Braxton Repschlager (6-4, Sr.). Both guys can get after the boards and score around the rim. Add Colton Perryman (6-3, Sr.) to the mix and you have a trio of forwards who are tough to contain.
Ryder Phillips (5-10, So.) loves to compete on both ends of the floor. A high-motor guy, Phillips can shoot, handle the rock and make great decisions with the ball. This could be a big year for Phillips. Other players to watch this season include Kaden Replogle (6-2, Sr.) at guard, AJ Timmons (6-3, Jr.) at forward, Caden Romo (6-2, Jr.) at guard, Anthony Barnes (6-0, So.) at guard, Austin Whistance (5-11, So.) at guard, James Fath (6-1, Fr.) at guard, and Brysen Jimenez (5-10, Fr.) at guard.
