Catoosa’s Trevin Goff – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Steve Swann State Farm

In each of our lives, there are people that make an impact on us and help shape us into the
person we will become. These could be people that are part of our everyday lives or
someone we observe from a distance, like a celebrity or professional athlete. Trevin Goff
has someone who has been very influential on his life and she is always in his corner.
“My mom is my biggest role model,” he said. “She has always encouraged everything that I
have done and has overall made me a better person.”
Goff is a sophomore at Catoosa High school, where he is a member of the soccer team. He
also competes in club soccer and enjoys drag boat racing.
Soccer is a sport that Trevin loves to compete in. He has worked hard to get better and his
teammates have also helped him with that too.

“I am thankful for the opportunity to play with a team that has helped me get better,” he
said. “I am proud to wear the Catoosa uniform when I play. It means a lot to be able to
represent my school and it means that I can bring more attention to our school.”
Goff has competed alongside a number of teammates during his career, but he has one that
has had the biggest impact on him.
“That would have to be Braxton Green,” Trevin said. “He is one of the people that have
helped me improve on my team. He has been there during the games and at practice to help
correct my playing and make me a better player and teammate.”
Trevin has been given a lot of advice over the years, but he says that there is one that stays
with him.
“Being told to keep going is one of the things that has stuck with me,” he stated. “It is the
main reason why I will never give up on something whether it be during a soccer game, or
in school, or even something as simple as cleaning my room. It has led to me being more
consistent with what I do.”
