Chelsea’s Dakota Equels – FFA Spotlight – Presented by Ford

Chelsea High School’s Dakota Equels first joined FFA when she was in the eighth grade thanks to the encouragement of her best friend Alexis Chambers. Dakota said she loves learning new things about agriculture and is now serving as an officer with the Chelsea chapter.

“I don’t show, I am an FFA officer, and I shoot trap sometimes and archery, “said Dakota.

Now a junior, Dakota also plays softball for the Lady Dragons. Dakota can play just about any position, but mainly focuses on catcher, pitcher, outfield and shortstop.

Dakota said anyone interested in FFA should give it a try.

“Try everything they offer to see what you like,” said Dakota.

Once her high school days come to an end, Dakota said she plans to go to college at NEO to play softball and become a physical therapist.
