Collinsville’s Beau Daniels Leaving a Good Impression – Presented by Rib Crib
By Trina Walker
Beau Daniels is a multi-sport athlete who is active in football, basketball and track. He has made a big impression on his coach as a freshman running back and strong safety for the Collinsville High School football team.
Daniels is a hard worker with a strong work ethic. His efforts are not going unnoticed. One of his favorite aspects of playing football is getting the opportunity to shine, showcasing the hard work he puts into his sport.
“I get to be the best I can be and show I’m capable of being trusted,” Daniels said.
Daniels has received a lot of advice but the most valuable thing he says to remember is that if the game is fast, slow it down.
In school, Daniels is torn between who his favorite teacher is. It’s a tie between Aaron Prickett and Coach Feese, he says. His favorite subject is English because he also likes the teacher, and it is easy for him.
Three people in Daniels’ life give him the most inspiration, his mom, dad and papa.
“My mom pushes me to be my best. My dad makes me put in the work and helps me with camps. My papa is there every game and shows support, no matter the outcome of the game,” he said.
The teammates he looks up to are Scott Rigby, who was a great mentor throughout the season. Austin Boren, whom he has known since he was a baby and can rely on to be supportive on and off the field. Last but not least is Ben Daniels.
“Ben is my brother, and he made me mentally tougher from beating me up when I was younger,” laughs Daniels. “He always wants me to reach my goals and helps me play to the best of my ability.”
Daniels feels honored to wear the Cardinal jersey and have coaches who believe in him as a freshman. Football has made a big impact on his life and given him memories to cherish. The best memory was his first touchdown.
Daniels hopes to continue playing football after high school but wants to become an electrician if football offers do not work out.
