Owasso’s Madi Hill

By Mike Moguin

The best advice Madilyn Hill said she has ever received is “Never give up on your dreams.”

Now those dreams have transpired into success on the courts of volleyball and basketball at Owasso High School.

Also known as Madi to friends and teammates, Hill encourages the same to younger athletes when she takes the court for the Rams.

“I have always loved getting to represent Owasso, no matter the sport. I love the fan base, and the support we get not only from our school but also from our community,” the junior two-sport athlete said. “I try to be the best role model to little kids who have dreams like I once did.”

When asked what her most memorable accomplishment with the Rams is, Hill replied, “Making it to state for both basketball and volleyball my freshman year.

“I think my sports have taught me that you never know who is watching. So give everything your all, all the time,” Hill said.

A teammate whom she admires is Jayelle Austin, now playing softball at Oklahoma State. Austin, a 2025 OHS graduate, played both the diamond and hoops for the Rams.

“She was a dual-sport athlete like me, and she always came into practice with a positive mindset, and she was a very big leader for our team,” Hill said.

Favorite teams of Hill are the South Carolina women and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

“Ever since I was a kid, I have watched them (Thunder), and I went to a couple of games when I was younger,” Hill said.

A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces is her favorite professional player.

When not playing sports, Hill likes to hang out with friends, family and go to the gym with her boyfriend!

“My parents have always and will always be my biggest inspiration in life,” she said.

“My biggest thank you goes out to my parents for sacrificing everything they have to make sure I have everything I could ever need,” Hill added.
