Collinsville’s Addy Clark
VYPE: Addy, what grade did you start competing in track and what grade are you in now?
Addy Clark: I started competing in the track in the seventh grade. I am now in 11th.
VYPE: What do you love about your teammates?
AC: Something that I absolutely love and adore about my teammates is that they will always lift me up when I’m down. Whether that’s a bad meet, practice, or day, they always cheer me up and make me laugh.
VYPE: What events do you compete in for CHS?
AC: The 4X100, 4X200, and long jump. I also alternate between the open 100 and 2000-meter dash when my coach wants me to.
VYPE: Which teammate has impressed you this season?
AC: Lillie Stubbings is a teammate that has impressed me significantly this year. She is a sophomore, but this is her first year of high school track and she is absolutely killing it.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
AC: One of my best friends, Jorja Savage inspires me every day on and off the track. She is dedicated at everything she does, and she always gives it her best. She keeps me in line and helps me to be better.
VYPE: How do you like to spend your down time?
AC: I love to hang out with my friends and boyfriend. I love to go shopping, work out, or find something fun to go out and do with them.
VYPE: What are your plans for the summer?
AC: I am going to soak up my last moments with my best friend Alexis who is a senior. You can always find me at the lake or by a pool tanning. I am going to different cheer camps and getting new skills!
VYPE: What are your plans after you graduate?
AC: I plan on going to college in either North or South Carolina. I’d really love to cheer in college as well. I still don’t know what I want to do or study.
