Collinsville’s Jorja Savage
VYPE:What do you love most about being a student-athlete at Collinsville HS?
Jorja Savage: The one thing I love most about being a student-athlete at Collinsville High School would be the family aspect we all have with each other; it is so easy to connect with my teammates and classmates.
VYPE:What’s your favorite subject in school and do you have a favorite teacher?
JS: My favorite subject in school would have to be math because it comes so easy to me. I could never choose just one teacher because they are all truly amazing at Collinsville.
VYPE:What do you do with the down time during meets?
JS: During downtime at track meets I am typically eating a snack, warming up for my next event, or supporting my teammates and watching them.
VYPE:What events do you participate in at your meets?
JS: My two main events are the 4×100 meter relay and pole vault.
VYPE:What event would you like to try one day?
JS: One event that I would like to try sometime would be long jump.
VYPE:Which teammate always impresses you the most or do you have a former teammate who left an impression on you?
JS: One teammate that impresses me is Addy Clark, she has a good mindset on and off the track and truly pushes herself to the next level in every aspect.
VYPE:Who on the team keeps everyone laughing, who is the most serious and who has the best impression of your coach?
JS: Aziah Bigby keeps everyone laughing, Ava Lanik is the most serious, and Alexis Queen by far has the best impression of our coach.

JS: My biggest supporters are my parents, not only do they push me to do better in track, they challenge me to be a better person. My Dad is a Pastor and always gives me advice when I need it and my Mom is the most God fearing woman I know and I can go to her about anything.
VYPE:What do you enjoy doing in your free time outside of school and sports?
JS: In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my friends, doing just about anything outside, going to church, and shopping.
VYPE:What would you like to do after you graduate?
JS: My plan for after graduation is to go to college and either major in sports medicine or get a business degree and pursue my dream of owning my own ranch.
