Rejoice Christian Football
Rejoice Christian has built a amazing program in a very short time. Head coach Brent Marley continues to show he is one of the top prep coaches in Oklahoma and coach Marley will tell you having players who buy in to the program certainly helps. One of the top players for Rejoice is Cale Marley, the head coach’s son.
Cale has been a standout athlete since he stepped onto campus. For Cale, being a student-athlete at Rejoice is more than just Xs and Os.
“I love being a student-athlete at Rejoice because first and for most it is a Christian based education, so I can grow in my faith while getting a great education. Rejoice also has incredible facilities and great coaches which makes being an athlete all the more better,” said Marley.
Cale believes in his teammates and the program. He has taken on a leadership role and is encouraged by what he sees from his teammates.
“This season is different for me because I’m an upperclassman now so I’m steeping into a bigger role which is exciting, but I’m most excited about going through this season with my teammates. Keep a very close eye on Josh Hendricks, Hunter Hensley, Nathan Price, Camden Ryan, and Harrison Raney. The list goes on,” said Marley.
This season Cale is playing quarterback for the Eagles.
“Just playing the game I love alongside my brothers in front of an incredible atmosphere is what I’ve loved most about Friday nights. I will be playing quarterback. It’s such a blessing to be able to represent Rejoice and what we are about, and I’m so thankful the Lord out me here so I can represent this school and glorify Him while doing it,” said Marley.
In the classroom, Cale said he enjoys all his classes, but one stands out. Picking a favorite teacher is much more difficult.
“My favorite subject in school so far is anatomy, and picking a favorite teacher is hard because I seriously love them all but I’m going to have to go with two, Mr. McNamar and Mrs. Longnecker,” said Marley.
With a big game against Beggs coming in week 2, Cale said he excited to take the field with his teammates and see what they can accomplish this season.
“I’m most excited for the post season where the real football starts. I also have my eye on week 2 at Beggs. What I love most about this special group that will step on the field with me is our love for each other. This team is all about doing it for the guy next to them. And when that is the case, this season becomes greater than football.
