SKIATOOK BULLDOGS
BOYS
Coach: Scott Bowman
23-24 Record: 11-15
OUTLOOK
The group that was young and inexperienced a couple of years ago are now upperclassmen and experienced players looking to take Bulldog basketball to another level. Head coach Scott Bowman likes what he is seeing in preseason practices.
“This senior group has been starting varsity since sophomore year. So, we will be real experienced. We will start four seniors and one junior. We have three sophomores that will really help and be battling for a starting spot,” said coach Bowman.
“ ”Julian Baldino (6-3, Sr.) returns to his guard spot where he creates all sorts of problems for opponents. Baldino focused his efforts this offseason and is expected to have a big year. Baldino is joined in the backcourt by Trevor Matthews (5-7, Sr.), another guard who brings quickness and intensity on defense.
Another guard to watch is Hunter Howell (5-7, Sr.). Howell makes good decisions with the ball and is a solid defender. Cody Dearing (5-9, Jr.) will give the Bulldogs a player who can shoot, pass and hustle for loose balls.
Underclassman Braylon Banks (6-2, So.) is an exciting forward who brings energy and athleticism to the court for coach Bowman. Also look for freshman Tavion Kirkwood (6-2) to get some looks this season at guard. Other players to watch include Carson Krumm (5-10, Jr.) at guard, Nate Hardie (6-0, Sr.) at guard, Jaxon Olsen (6-4, So.) at center, Hunter “Larry” King (6-4, Sr.) at center, Barrett Hinton (6-0, Jr.) at forward, Jayden Wright (5-10, So.) at guard, Garrett Johanson (6-2, Jr.) at forward, Brandon Height (6-5, Sr.) at center, Cole Bray (5-10, So.) at forward, and Nate Sade (5-7, So.) at guard.
