Skiatook Bulldogs- Wrestling Preview – Presented by Tulsa Bone & Joint

Skiatook Wrestling – Presented by Tulsa Bone & Joint

Skiatook boys wrestling enters the season young but dangerous, with a roster built around hungry freshmen and sophomores who are ready to grow into contenders. Head coach Marlon Houston Jr. expects to start multiple underclassmen across the lineup and believes this group can mature quickly and make noise once regionals arrive, especially with two proven seniors leading the way.

Jagen Jones sets the competitive standard as a senior and one of the state’s most accomplished lightweights. A three-time regional champion, state runner-up, and fourth-place state finisher, Jones is known for laying it on the line every time he steps on the mat and is chasing his ultimate goal of becoming a high school state champion, a target his coaches believe is within reach through hard work and resiliency.

Freshman Hudson Glover brings a “mountain of potential” after an offseason of intense work, and the staff expects him to make an immediate impact thanks to his grit and willingness to do whatever it takes. Keylan Freeman, a sophomore, was one win away from qualifying for state last year, dropping a heartbreaking overtime match but showing massive improvement over the course of the season and the ability to take the next step. Zay Holt, also a sophomore, embodies the heart of the program, overcoming adversity while showing up every day with a smile and servant’s heart, helping teammates with drilling and volunteering at youth practices to guide the next generation of Bulldogs.
