Q&A with Skiatook’s Julian Baldino
VYPE: Julian, what grade are you in this season and who position are you playing?
Julian Baldino: I am a senior and I play any position coach Bowman needs me to, so really all positions.
VYPE: What skill have you worked on the most coming into the season?
JB: My ability to shoot and handle the ball has improved very well.
VYPE: Is there a teammate who impresses you?
JB: Trevor Mathews impresses me the most because he’s short and can still make crazy shots over guys that are two-feet taller than him.
VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates?
JB: The things I love most about my teammates are how fun they are to be around all of the time, and always being great people.
VYPE: Do you have a favorite subject in school or a favorite teacher?
JB: My favorite subject is personal financial literacy, and my favorite teachers are Samantha Perdon and Shae Garner.

JB: The best part about being a student-athlete for SHS is how positive the other people and coaches are.
VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate?
JB: I would like to major in business, and I am hoping for a basketball scholarship.
VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life, on and off the court?
JB: My Nana has been the biggest influence, pushing me to be the best I can always be.
VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
JB: I love to play basketball all of the time, if I’m not playing basketball I’m definitely hanging out with my girlfriend.
VYPE: Do you have a favorite place to play and where is toughest place to play on the road?
JB: My favorite place to play at is most definitely home court, and on the road was Collinsville but we don’t play them anymore.
