Q&A with Skiatook’s Julian Baldino

VYPE: Julian, what grade are you in this season and who position are you playing?

Julian Baldino: I am a senior and I play any position coach Bowman needs me to, so really all positions.

VYPE: What skill have you worked on the most coming into the season?

JB: My ability to shoot and handle the ball has improved very well.

VYPE: Is there a teammate who impresses you?

JB: Trevor Mathews impresses me the most because he’s short and can still make crazy shots over guys that are two-feet taller than him.

VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates?

JB: The things I love most about my teammates are how fun they are to be around all of the time, and always being great people.

VYPE: Do you have a favorite subject in school or a favorite teacher?

JB: My favorite subject is personal financial literacy, and my favorite teachers are Samantha Perdon and Shae Garner.

VYPE: What is the best thing about being a student-athlete at SHS?

JB: The best part about being a student-athlete for SHS is how positive the other people and coaches are.

VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate?
JB: I would like to major in business, and I am hoping for a basketball scholarship.

VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life, on and off the court?

JB: My Nana has been the biggest influence, pushing me to be the best I can always be.

VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
JB: I love to play basketball all of the time, if I’m not playing basketball I’m definitely hanging out with my girlfriend.
VYPE: Do you have a favorite place to play and where is toughest place to play on the road?
JB: My favorite place to play at is most definitely home court, and on the road was Collinsville but we don’t play them anymore.
