MCLAIN TITANS

Coach: MILTON HARPER

6-4

OFFENSE

The Titans had a solid season last year and they are looking to build off that momentum as they begin this new season. Head coach Milton Harper is excited to see what his squad can accomplish this season. “This year’s team will have a new look with some new faces who are coming in ready to compete,” he said. “We will have a few returning starters on both sides of the ball. Very young team with a heavy senior group upfront on both sides of the ball. I’m looking for a good year with a new look of players.” The offense will look to take advantage of their strengths and get the ball to the end zone. One of the key players on offense will be Joseph Morgan (6-1, 175, Jr.) at wide receiver. Jordan Roberson (6-2, 275, Sr.), Anthony Bradley (6-0, 230, Sr.), and Brandon Urbina (6-3, 265, So.) will anchor the offensive line and work to keep the defense out of the backfield while also opening up running lanes when necessary.

DEFENSE

The Titans will have a formidable defense, working to play fast and physical. Middle linebacker Keegan Smith (5-10, 205, Sr.) returns after accumulating 98 total tackles last year. He is joined at linebacker by Syncere Culton (5-10, 215, Sr.) and they will both play big roles in the team’s success this year. Up front, Tyrone Gordon (6-0, 235, Sr.) is back at defensive end after ending last season with a strong 60 tackles and six sacks. Looking to make big contributions on the line is Alex Johnson (6-3, 210, Sr.). Patrolling the secondary are Joseph Morgon (6-1, 175, Jr.) at cornerback and Malachi Jones (6-0, 170, Sr.) at strong safety. Jones ended last year with three interceptions and will be looking to increase that number this season. The Titans’ assistant coaches this season are Mike Andrade, Ben Marshall, Seth Scott, D.J Birmingham, Terence Carr, Marquise Ezell, and Derrick Harper.
