In his second season as head coach at Edison High School, Creed Flowers said this team has several pieces of the puzzle to make this team not just competitive, but a contender.
“One of the most well-rounded teams Edison has had in recent years,” coach Flowers said.

VYPE Top 100 selectee Jaylen Lopez (6-4, Sr.) is a hybrid type player who averaged 16 points and 9.0 rebounds last season as a junior. Lopez is everything you want in a player who can hurt you with his outside shot and bang in the paint for points around the rim and rebounds. Another senior looking to go off for big numbers this season is Nehemiah Liggins (6-4, Sr.). A forward who can average 8.0 points and 6.0 rebounds a game, is the complimentary player to Lopez. More of a true forward, Liggins can use his body to create space and his strength to battle inside.
An exciting player is entering the varsity ranks for the first time this season. AY Pinder (5-9, Fr.) will likely play point guard despite being an underclassman. Pinder has looked good over the summer and brings his quickness and undeniable instincts to the lineup. Combo guard Jett Crawford (5-10, Jr.) can run the point or play shooting guard. As a sophomore, Crawford accounted for 8.0 points and 3.0 assists. His backcourt play is crucial for the teams overall success. Also look for Christian Taylor (6-0, So.) who had an impactful freshman season and is now looking to play a bigger part for the Eagles.
