OUTLOOK
It’s back to basics and learning to love the game for the Lady Eagles this season. Head coach Aaron Daniels is turning the focus back to getting the little things right and playing with passion. As the team searches for their identify, coach Daniels said they want to compete every time they step onto the court.
“This season, we want to compete with a chance to win every game, no matter the opponent, get back to enjoying playing, and expecting to win whenever we take the floor,” coach Daniels said.
Moccah Galbreath (Jr.) is a returning starter at guard and someone the team will lean on this season. Galbreath was the leading scorer last season and played the most minutes of any player in the last two seasons. Look for Galbreath to being her experience to the backcourt for Edison.
Also look for Jaeli Atchison (Sr.) at forward. A hybrid type player, Atchison has worked her way to becoming a highly touted player with several college offers. Atchison can be the sparkplug that gets the team moving on both ends of the court.
“These both will likely be starters and certainly significant contributors to whatever success we are able to enjoy this season,” coach Daniels said.
Overall, the team needs to answer a few questions concerning starting roles, but the team does have talent and a crop of younger players who are hungry to prove themselves at the varsity level. Look for coach Daniels and the Lady Eagles to start turning things around this season.
