VYPE: What grade are you currently in and how long have you been playing basketball?

Hondo Avington: 11th grade and I’ve been playing for 3-4 years.

VYPE: What opponent do you look forward to playing this season?

HA: The Central Braves.

VYPE: What is the toughest gym to play in on the road?

HA: The toughest gym on the road is Okmulgee.

VYPE: What is your favorite school subject and who is your favorite teacher?

HA: Favorite subject is science, and my favorite teacher is Ms. Smith.

VYPE: Are you involved in any other clubs or groups at school? If so, what are they?

HA: I play football and run track.

VYPE: Who is the greatest player of all-time?

HA: Lebron James.

VYPE: What teammate can you beat in a game of pig?

HA: All of them.

VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life and why?

HA: My family, they made me want to work harder and just be successful so I can make them proud.

VYPE: What are your plans for after graduation?

HA: Attend college, hopefully on some type of sport scholarship.
