9 questions with Sapulpa High School’s DeShon Koch

VYPE: What grade are you in and how long have you been playing football?
DeShon Koch: I am in 12th grade, and I’ve been playing since the 3rd grade.

VYPE: What position do you play, and is there another position you’d like to try?
DK: I play RB and DT. I wouldn’t want to play another position.

VYPE: What’s your favorite part about being on this team?
DK: My favorite part about being on this team is the energy the coaches bring every day.

VYPE: What teammate pushes you the most to get better?
DK: The teammate that pushes me the hardest is Levi Jensen.

VYPE: What’s the best memory you’ve had so far playing football?
DK: The best memory I have is picking the ball in a game against McAlester and running into Papa.

VYPE: Who has been your biggest influence on and off the field?
DK: When I try to pick the younger guys up on the team.

VYPE: What goals have you set for yourself and your team this season?
DK: The goals I have set are to get at least 8 touchdowns and 10 sacks this season.

VYPE: What do you like to do outside of football?
DK: The thing I love to do outside of football is eat. I love food.

VYPE: What plans do you have after you graduate?
DK: I’m not sure what exactly I’m doing after high school, but I’m waiting for an opportunity.
