Sapulpa’s Braxtan Lee

VYPE: What is your favorite part about wrestling?

Braxtan Lee: Growing and getting better as a wrestler and seeing my progress as the season goes on. 

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life? 

BL: Some life lessons this sport has taught me is to keep going when it gets hard or when I don’t feel like doing something to get it done anyway. 

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

BL: It feels like a family. We are all brothers and help each other get better. We are always pushing each other to be better in practice.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

BL: Wrestling has done nothing but better me physically and mentally and I just love getting better.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

BL: My favorite teacher is Mrs. Vaughn because she’s also a wrestling coach. She helps me out with assignments and talks wrestling. 

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

BL: The teammate that has left the biggest impression on me is Jack Madden because he’s a hard worker and has helped me become a better wrestler.

VYPE: When did you start wrestling and what drew you to it?

BL: I started the sport freshman year at the end of the first semester. I was drawn to it because of the hard work and wrestling has always seemed fun to me. 

VYPE: Here is your chance to say thank you to anyone you wish.

BL: Thank you to Coach Fuller for always pushing me to my full potential and Coach Pepper for teaching me the little things I don’t know in practice so I can do better in a match. 

VYPE: Tell me about the best vacation you have taken and what made it special.

BL: The best vacation I’ve ever had was when I went to Florida last summer. It was special because I got closer to God, and my friends. And it was my first time at the beach.
