Coach: NICHOLE TATE

2024-25 Record: 18-8

OUTLOOK

After an excellent campaign last season, head coach Nichole Tate returns the nucleus of a team that won 18 games a year ago and is poised for another great season on the court.

“With four starters returning, we are excited to build on the foundation of last season and take the next step forward with experience and high expectations. Our players are committed to raising the standard each day while continuing to build a program of long-term success. The focus remains on growth, hard work, and competing together at the highest level,” said coach Tate.

Leighton Inhofe

That group include Leighton Inhoffe (5-7, So.), a combo guard who averaged 15 points a game as a freshman. Her partner in crime is Ava Slagle (5-9, Jr.) who can play forward or the post. Slagle averaged 13.5 points a game and is a VYPE Top 100 selectee this season. Together, they make a dynamic duo that can hurt you in the paint or on the perimeter. Inhoffe has quickly developed into one of the top players in the state and continues to push herself to improve and raise her game to another level. Slagle brings a relentless work ethic and unwavering determination to the floor.

Ava Slagle

“Ava’s dedication to improvement and competitive spirit have made her a cornerstone of our success and a role model for younger athletes who aspire to reach her level,” coach Tate said. “Leighton has already risen as one of the top players on our team and among the best in the state of Oklahoma. Her natural talent, combined with her commitment to improvement, has been the foundation of her success.”

Not to be overlooked, KK Lephew (5-4, Jr.) can run the point and contribute 8.5 points a game. Her play is crucial to the overall success of the team. Also look for Addie Belk (5-6, So.), another guard who can average around 8.0 points per contest.

Other players to watch include Tycee Downing (5-9, Jr.), Emma Johnson (5-8, Sr.), Ana Justice (5-7, Jr.), Alta Birdshead (5-8, So.), Maddie Bozone (5-6, Jr.), Bentleigh Woods (5-7, Fr.), Piper James (5-9, Fr.), and Ireland Johnson (5-8, Fr.).
