BROKEN ARROW TIGERS

Coach: BEAU WALLACE

2024-25 Record: 26-3

OUTLOOK

Starting his 14th season at Broken Arrow High School, coach Beau Wallace continues to be one of, if not the top boys basketball coach in the history of the program. After going 26-3 last season and making it to the semifinals where the Tigers lost to Union by two points, the roster has turned over with several players entering roles for the first time in their careers.

“With five new starters and plenty of fresh faces, Broken Arrow’s roster looks different this season — but the talent is undeniable. Veterans Corban Dow and Gene Mason return with valuable experience and are expected to lead the charge. Coy Lemons and Troy Bell bring varsity familiarity, while transfers Aidan Clark and Oliver Wallace add firepower and depth,” coach Wallace said. “The “twins,” Mathis and William Sutton, are ready to make their presence felt and compete for minutes. The Tigers have the pieces to succeed — it’s just a matter of how fast this new group can click.”

Corban Dow (6-6, Sr.) and Gene Mason (6-5, Jr.) are familiar faces and names to the Tiger faithful. Dow is a VYPE Top 100 selectee bringing his hustle and relentlessness to the floor for the Tigers. Coach Wallace said Dow’s contributions don’t end up on the stat sheet.

“He plays with relentless effort and makes all the hustle plays that don’t always show up on the stat sheet. A versatile athlete, he can do a little bit of everything — from shooting and scoring to guarding the opposing team’s best player. His work ethic and impact have already caught the attention of college coaches, earning him multiple offers. Broken Arrow will rely on Corban all season long in every facet of the game,” Wallace said.

Mason joins Dow at guard giving the Tigers two matchup problems in the backcourt. Aidan Clark (6-6, Sr.) and Troy Bell (6-5, Sr.) are two forwards who can play inside and out. Another versatile player to watch is Coy Lemons (6-6, Sr.) at guard/forward who can defend well and is comfortable stepping into the paint.

William Sutton (6-3, So.) and Mathis Sutton (6-0, So.) are two guards ready to take their place on the court for the Tigers. William is a skilled guard with a shooters touch. Also look for Oliver Wallace (6-1, Jr.) at guard. Wallace will play tough defense and give 100 percent effort on both ends of the court. Other players to watch are Josiah Wilson (6-3, Jr.) at forward and Richie Pouncil (6-0, So.) at guard.
