Broken Arrow’s McKenzie Mathurin is Miss Basketball Oklahoma 2024-25
This season McKenzie Mathurin was instrumental in helping Broken Arrow to the state semifinals. Mathurin averaged 23.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 2.8 assists per game. Mathurin is committed to the University of Michigan. Mathurin is the second player from Broken Arrow High School to win the award. Toree Thompson won the award in 2013-14.
The five finalists for the 2023-24 Shelter Insurance Miss Basketball Oklahoma award were McKenzie Mathurin – Broken Arrow, Keeley Parks – Norman, Kyiah Prestridge – Westmoore, Allyssa Parker – Pocola, and Henley West – Hammon.
“It was a tough field of great players this year. Congrats to Broken Arrow’s McKenzie Mathurin on a great season. You did Tiger Nation proud. Mathurin is a great representative for the Shelter Insurance Miss Basketball Oklahomaaward,” said VYPE Magazine’s Brad Heath.
