COWETA LADY TIGERS

Coach: JADE ALLISON

2024-25 Record: 25-2

OUTLOOK

Coach Jade Allison has a good nucleus of players to build around but will need some of the younger talent to step up this season, especially in early games on the schedule.

“We return one starter from a state semifinalist team. A good core to build around but will play some young and inexperienced players at the beginning of the season,” coach Allison said.

One player making her way back to the court is Gia Dennis (5-7, Jr.), a VYPE Top 100 selectee and a player who averaged 15 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game. Dennis is known as a smooth point guard with incredible court vision and anticipation.

“A phenomenal feel for the game, and ability to score on three levels,” coach Allison said of Dennis.

Senior guard Zoey Childress (5-6) is back giving the team some leadership on and off the court. Look for Childress to help this team on both ends of the court. The same can be said for Nyah Addison (5-7, Jr.). Both guards play salty defense, and Addison is a player who can battle for rebounds inside.

Other players to watch include Ebony Bell (5-10, Jr.) at forward, Macey Whitehead (5-10, So.) at forward and Aubrey Honig (5-7, Jr.) at guard. Also look for Lauren Slade (Fr.), a newcomer with loads of potential thanks to her intelligence and athleticism. Another freshman to watch is Mabri Allison (Fr.) who may be the most well-rounded student-athlete on the team. Allison is the President of the freshman class, a member of National Honor Society and is active in her church.
