COWETA TIGERS

Coach: TIM HARPER

2-8

OFFENSE
A maturing football team is what you will find at Coweta High School. Head coach Tim Harper had a young team last season but entering the 2025 season the team is a year older and the players are eager to get back on the field. “We were so young last year, starting as many as 13 sophomores. I feel like we have had an amazing off season, and our kids are hungry to get the bad taste out of our mouths,” said coach Harper. The Tigers return one of the top running backs in the state in Brock Heilmann (5-10, 185, Jr.). Heilmann had more than 1,500 total yards with 19 touchdowns. Heilmann is a VYPE Top 100 selectee and brings a powerful running style with good speed to the offense. Another playmaker is Kooper McNac (6-1, 175, Sr.) at wide receiver. McNac had 41 receptions for 500-plus yards and seven touchdowns. Jayden Love (6-2, 192, Jr.) is another wide receiver in the spread offense the Tigers will run this season. JJ Smith (5-7, 150, Jr.) had six touchdowns and more than 500 total yards last year as a running back, receiver and kick returner. Hunter Reavis (6-2, 260, Jr.) can play guard or center depending on what the team needs are each week. Reavis graded out at 90% as a sophomore. The coaching staff consists of Scott Chronister, Joe McHenry, David McGrath, Gabe Ellis, Grayson Snider, Lance Beck, Kent Graham, Jeff Falgien, and Rob Flory.

DEFENSE

Eight starters return to the defensive side of the ball. Heilmann will play safety for the Tigers giving them a ballhawk in the secondary. The defense will bounce between a 3-4 and 4-3 depending on how they want to attack the opposing offense. Conner Smith (5-9, 190, Sr.) had 93 tackles as a junior and is one of the more productive linebackers in the class. Landon Fisher (5-10, 175, Sr.) will start at outside linebacker where he made 55 tackles and grabbed two INTs last season. Also look for Parker Caughman (6-0, 225, Sr.) at defensive end. This trio of defensive specialists will cause a lot of problems from opposing offenses this season. Noah Finley is another player expected to make an impact on defense this year. Finley has great speed and hands and could see time at wide receiver and corner on defense. Keep up with the Tigers online @Cowetafootball on X and Coweta Tiger Football on Facebook.
