Coweta’s Jayden Love
A new face is joining Coweta football. The addition of senior Jayden Love adds depth to an already strong team. Football has always been part of his life. Jayden was just a baby when he started watching football. He was playing as soon as he was old enough to pick up the ball.
“My favorite memory would have to be me dragging my dad or uncle outside to throw the ball with me as a kid,” he says. Jayden first played competitively when he was in the sixth grade. His passion and desire to compete continue growing.
Jayden is a receiver with an impressive ability to catch the football. Head Coach Tim Harper is excited to see what Jayden will bring to the team. “I feel Jayden will be one of the best receivers this fall in Class 5A and gives the Tigers one of the best receiving corps in the class as well. He has some of the best hands as a receiver that we have seen,” Harper adds. “He (Jayden) has a huge smile that lights up the room. Coweta has been a good fit for him.”
In sports and in life, things do not always go your way. Jayden says patience is one of the most valuable lessons he learned playing football. The ability to work through problems with the patience to find the right timing is a valuable lesson that has made him a better player and given him the tools to deal with everyday issues.
Jayden loves the dynamic of being part of a team and how everyone on a team works together towards a common goal. Learning to communicate with one another to achieve this goal is Jayden’s favorite part of being on a team.
His biggest inspirations are his mom and dad because they fight for what they believe in, even when things don’t go their way. “I would thank my whole family for putting up with me and my crazy football schedule. It’s really a blessing from God,” says Jayden.
When not showing his skills on the football field, Jayden is a normal high school kid who likes gaming, watching movies and Disney World. “My most memorable vacation is when I went to Disney World and seen Mickey Mouse and got on rides and seen the light-up castle.”
Jayden wants to be a college athlete. It is not an easy road, but the following advice keeps him on track. “Keep going even though it’s going to get hard.”
