Coen Johnson (Jr.), Francisco Guzman (Jr.), Preston Factor (So.), Raul Pena (Sr.), Jose Salgado-Porifirio (Jr.), Francisco Loza (So.), Colton Kendrick (Fr.), and Brandon Munoz (Fr.) are members of the Glenpool cross country team this season under head coach Garrett Weir.
Coach Weir said the team is focused and a hard-working group.
“They are a hard-working group of kids that always looking to improve and contribute to their team,” said Weir.
Johnson has the best finishes of the group. During the Sapulpa meet, Johnson clocked a 11:45.22 time placing him in the top third of the field. Guzman and Factor were not far behind with times of 12:22.02 and 12:23.75 respectively.
Coach Weir is excited to see how freshman Francisco Loza continues to develop.

Known for his work ethic, Jose Salgado-Porifirio is another runner who is helping this team not only improve but keep their focus on the task at hand.
“Jose is one of the hardest workers on the team and is a great leader. He helps our team tremendously,” said Weir.
During the meet at Muskogee High School, the team posted a 12th place finish out of 20 teams participating. The 5k event witnessed Johnson posting a 19:17 and Guzman posting a 20:09. Factor wasn’t too far behind crossing the line at 20:23. Loza added a 20:35 while Kendrick posted a 20:40. Pena crossed at 20:52, Salgado at 20:56, and Munoz at 20:58.
Other team members this season include Jarod Mosquito (Jr.), Kemarion Goff (So.), and Jackson Conner (Fr.).
