2024-25 Record: 20-11
OUTLOOK
The Lady Warriors are looking for another 20-plus win season this year under head coach Bobby Belveal. With two VYPE Top 100 selectees, the Lady Warriors are set up for a memorable season. Tyra McKinnie (6-0, Sr.) and Yaya Gibson (5-4, Jr.) are a one-two punch that is tough to stop.

“Tyra has 1,228 career points and 829 career rebounds. She has helped lead her team to two state tournaments, one in Class 4A and one in 5A. She has numerous All-Conference and All-Tournament awards to her name. She is a force on both ends of the floor. Can score inside and out and is a great defender. Recently committed to D1 Louisiana Tech for volleyball,” coach Belveal said. “Yaya has 653 career points and 103 career assists. Led our team in 3-pointers last two years. She has numerous All-Conference and All-Tournament awards to her credit. She is an outstanding defender, great shooter, and sets the tempo for our team on both ends of the floor. She has an outstanding work ethic and is a great leader to her teammates.”

Look for seniors Faith Rogers (6-1), Autumn Spears (5-4,), and Cameron Shed (5-7) to contribute this season. Rogers will play forward with Spears and Shed at guard. Meske Procter (5-7, Jr.) is another guard who can help the team on both ends of the floor.
Newcomers Avery Allen (5-7, Fr.), Emma Pringle (5-4, Fr.), and Cheyenne Hooks (5-4, Fr.) are three underclassmen who appear to be ready to compete at the varsity level. Pringle is a solid shooter with a physical style of defense while Allen is an outstanding shooter and Hooks has excellent instincts on defense.
Other players to watch include Kynley Kirk (5-9, Jr.) at forward, Laila Thomas (5-4, Fr.) at guard, and Tenley Osceola (5-7, Fr.) at forward.
