Glenpool Warriors Softball Preview – Presented by Redbud Physical Therapy of Glenpool

GLENPOOL WARRIORS

Coach: RANDALL GIBSON

17-20

OUTLOOK

With a plethora of players returning from last season, coach Randall Gibson is looking forward to getting this group back on the field. “The Glenpool Lady Warriors return all but one starter from last year’s team. The lone senior was our pitcher, so the circle will be a question mark,” said Gibson. Two names will occupy the circle for Glenpool: Kaylee Kendrick (P/IF/OF, Jr.) and Bella Bible (P/IF/OF, Fr.). Both players will see plenty of time in the pitching rotation. GracynMcGowen (IF/P, Sr.), a VYPE Top 100 selectee, returns to shore up the infield. McGowen can play both sides of the field and hits the ball well. She is one of the leaders for Glenpool. Sophie Leeper (IF/OF/P, Jr.), Kenna Goodvoice (IF/P, Jr.), Kami Culley (IF/OF, Jr.), and incoming freshman Lydia Wells (C/IF, Fr.) give the Warriors are solid infield. Wells is an exciting young player behind the plate. The outfield will be led by Makynlee Jackson (OF, Sr.) and includes Ryleigh Hunter (OF, Sr.), Shilah Tennial (OF/IF, Sr.), and Karli Dobbs (OF, Jr.). Leeper is a leader on and off the field for Glenpool, while Hunter is a motivator in the dugout and is expected to have an excellent senior season. Another player to watch include Cameron Shed (IF/OF, Jr.) who will contribute in multiple ways this season. When the season gets underway the Warriors will play host to Norman and NOAH on August 12th
