Sapulpa High School sophomore Harrison Fritz started swinging a golf club when he was around two years old. It was his mother who bought him his first set of golf clubs.
“My mom bought me a first set of plastic clubs and it started from there,” said Fritz.
Competing on the golf course is something Fritz loves to do. Being part of the varsity team at SHS is a lot of fun and a lot of work.
“I enjoy the competition aspect of golf and the individual type of sport,” Fritz said. “I love my teammates on the golf team they are very helpful. I love my teammates unique personalities the most, I have a lot of fun with them on and off the course.”
Fritz said his favorite course to play is in his hometown.
“I like to play at Sapulpa as it is my home course,” Fritz said. “I would say my wedges are my best clubs.”
Also in the Native American program, Fritz said he wants to play golf in college once his high school days come to an end.
