Jenks Boys Track – Team Spotlight

Jenks Boys Track

Jenks High School has a proud track tradition and under the leadership of head coach Joe Dial, the team continues to shape up and look like a real contender.

Coach Dial said the team is loaded with seniors, but with every season you can expect to see a few underclassmen step up in the big way and make their presence felt.

“This year’s team has a lot of seniors that have been tested along with the younger classes coming up. This is a team that has a chance to be very special and contend for a state championship,” said coach Dial.

The throwing events will be big for the Trojans this season. Seniors Josh Bartlett and Caleb Beyer have put in the work to make their way to the podium this season. Both athletes are capable of putting up big numbers.

Another strength for the Trojans this season is the relay teams. Kayleb Barnett (Sr.) will lead the way. Barnett will compete in sprints and run relays for the Trojans. Barnett has shown he has the speed to be a major factor in the shorter distances. Joining Barnett is Sam Stone (Sr.). Stone will compete in sprints and relays giving the Trojans two guys who can fly.

Sheldon English (Jr.) and Britton McCune (Sr.) will compete in hurdles with McCune also competing with the relay teams. Both guys give the Trojans a legitimate shot at winning the hurdle events.

Ezra Henslee (Sr.) will compete in relays and run the 400-meter and 800-meter events. His times have improved and Henslee is ready to make the 2025 track season his best yet. Brody Maasen (Jr.) is a distance runner who enters the season with an expectation of making his way to the podium.
