JENKS LADY TROJANS

Coach: Will Seymour

23-24 Record: 15-12

OUTLOOK

There are lots of positives for the Lady Trojans coming into 2024-25. Head coach Will Seymour has a group poised for an excellent season as they continue to grow and build on the success of last season.

“We are very excited about the team we have. We have a very young group that is going to compete and keep getting better with more experience. We return one player that started last year and several young players that played a lot of minutes and all started at least one game last year. The experience they got last season will help them pick up where they left off but now in a leadership position,” said coach Seymour.

VYPE Top 100 selectee Hazel Ifeoma (So.) is one of those players coach Seymour is excited to have back and for many reasons. Ifeoma is on the cusp of becoming one of the best players in the state. A post/forward player who plays a physical brand of basketball, Ifeoma is athletic and could have a breakout season.

Jayda Sykes (So.) is another underclassman who has shown great potential and a tremendous work ethic. Sykes is expected to have a solid season and could become a go-to player for coach Seymour. Also look for Aubrey Odom (Fr.), another underclassman who plays like a seasoned veteran. Also a hard worker, Odom never backs down from a challenge and plays an aggressive style of ball. The unsung hero of the team may be Jaedyn Jones (So.) who played a lot as a freshman last season. Jones may take over the point guard spot. Known for her passion for the game and her teammates, Jones is a fierce competitor. Also look for Danika West (Jr.) to make big contributions to the team’s overall success this season. West is passionate about the game and her team.
