Jenks’ Pearce Brann

Pearce Brann loves his sport. For Pearce, nothing compares to the culture of brotherhood within Jenks High School football.

“The winning culture at Jenks makes me love the sport more and more each day. Football is the ultimate team sport. A lot of my passion also comes from the mindset of playing for the guy next to me,” he says, “it is knowing the guy next to me has my back, just as I have his.”

Pearce is a junior inside linebacker setting an example to the next generation of athletes. “Recently, I’ve been able to ‘coach’ my three younger brothers at the same youth football camp I attended when I was younger. I know what it’s like to be in elementary school, looking up to the big varsity football players. Being at camp with my brothers was a full-circle moment.

“My dad is my biggest inspiration. He was a great athlete but that’s not why I’m inspired by him. My dad is a true man of Christ and displays that to everyone he encounters. My dad is intentional, kind and humble. He sets the standard for fatherhood and my goal is to be the man that my dad is one day.”

Pearce is a firm believer in Christ. He thanks God for being the source of his abilities. “I would not be anywhere close to where I am today without Christ. My favorite part of representing Jenks High School football is the opportunity to glorify God,” he praised.

He also thanks his parents for their sacrifices, his friends and family for their support and his teammates “who go to work every day.” Pearce thanks his current and former coaches for pushing him to be the best football player and young man possible. “Lastly, thank you Coach Elmer and Coach Gaylor, for demanding excellence from me and being great role models along with the rest of the Trojan football staff.”
