JENKS TROJANS

Coach: Daniel McChesney

23-24 Record: 16-11

OUTLOOK

There is a lot for the Trojan Nation to be excited about this upcoming season. Head coach Daniel McChesney returns a good nucleus of players who bring experience and passion to the floor.

“We are a very deep team with six seniors who will all contribute. Our scoring will be led by returning leading scorers Evan Goodwin who is one of the best scoring guards in the state. Our team is primed to grow on last year’s success and make a run at the state tournament in March,” said coach McChesney.

Evan Goodwin – Jenks High School

Evan Goodwin (6-3, Jr.) set the single game and season scoring records last year as a sophomore for the Trojans. He averaged 22 points a game and is one of the best point guards in the state.

Several seniors will be difference makers for the Trojans including Ilias Tata (6-0, Sr.) at guard, Carson Mariska (6-2, Sr.) at guard, Aiden Lowe (5-11, Sr.) at guard, Jace Johnson (6-3, Sr.) at forward, Omari Robinson (6-2, Sr.) at guard, and Jace Morgan (6-5, Sr.) at forward. Johnson is tough on defense and usually fronts the opponent’s best player.

Aiden Bezenah – Jenks High School

An exciting freshman has made his way to the varsity roster in Aiden Bezenah (6-6, Fr.). Called a “athletic stretch-forward” Bezenah has shown the ability to play above the rim and handle the rock or hit an outside shot. His development is something to watch over the course of the season. Other players to watch include Nashua Charlson (6-0, So.), Ryan Goodwin (6-0, Jr.), Averi Edmundson (5-11, Jr.), Braxton Daniel (6-4, So.), Ace Gilliam (6-3, Jr.), Trinnen Young (6-4, So.) and Parker Wilson (6-5, Jr.) at center.
