Ok Ag Credit FFA Spotlight
Jake Hudson – Liberty High School
Jake Hudson is a multi-sport student-athlete at Liberty High School, and he is a member of the FFA chapter.
Hudson plays basketball, baseball, and track while being a member of the National Beta Club and currently serves as the state president. Hudson is active in FCA and is a member of Liberty Tiger Network. When he was a freshman, Hudson decided to join FFA. Now a junior, Hudson said he enjoys all aspects of the organization.
“My family have been good friends with my Ag teacher Chad Eads for a long time and I grew up on a farm, so I’ve pretty much wanted to join since I heard what it was,” Hudson said. “I enjoy the amount of ways you can get involved and all the competitions you can do.”
Despite now showing animals, Hudson does raise cattle and participates in cattle grading.
“I am club president and I participate in Cattle Grading, Wildlife Management, Forestry, and Skeet Shooting,” said Hudson.
A quarterback and linebacker for the football team, Hudson said he loves his teammates and competing with them while representing LHS.
“I love the brotherhood that we have as a team,” said Hudson.
Hudson said he plans to attend college at Oklahoma State University to get a degree in agriculture or become a fire fighter.
As for anyone interested in joining FFA, Hudson had this to say.
“Do it! There’s something for everyone in FFA and it’s a great experience!”
