VYPE: Braeden, when did you start playing football?
Braeden Presley: I stared playing football in kindergarten. I knew it was the sport for me when I was in third grade.
VYPE: What are some positives you see from this year’s team?
BP: The positives I see is just growing as a team and getting our chemistry together so we do know that we can trust in one another.
VYPE: What other sports are you involved in at BHS?
BP: Football is my focus, but I run track on the side to help with my speed and get faster.
VYPE: As a student-athlete, what makes BHS great?
BP: Everyone is friendly and if you ever need anything you don’t have to be scared or hide you can always talk to anyone everybody is very nice caring, and just great overall people.
VYPE: Presley’s are known for a solid work ethic. Where does your work ethic come from?
BP: I think it comes from like more of my dad, but when I was little me and my siblings would always work out, we would always be at the backyard just working just playing around having fun, so I think me doing that I just gradually, and naturally started having a good strong work ethic.
VYPE: What do you love about your teammates?
BP: What I love about my teammates, they’re very funny, they’re very easy to get along with, but when it comes to getting serious and game time, we all can get in that mode. We know when I turn it on and turn it off and we never turn it off, so it’s just very fun and great to be around.
VYPE: Do you have a dream scenario for this season?
BP: I’ve always wanted to run to the end zone but having to dive over the pile on the line, I’ve always wanted to do that, and I never been able to in my career so, we’ll see.
VYPE: How do you spend your down time?
BP: Sometimes I’ll go in my backyard and do some footwork, ladder drills. Sometimes I’ll just watch TV and hang out with my family. It’s just depends on what is going on that day and how I feel.
VYPE: Who has made a big impact in your life?
BP: On and off the field would probably have to be my dad. He can yell at me sometimes on the field, but I know it’s just the competitive spirit in him and he just wants us to do good but outside the field he’s a great dad. He teaches us about life. He teaches us how to do a lot of stuff, so just very grateful for that.
