Hadleigh Agnew – Glenpool Soccer

VYPE: What goals do you have for this soccer season?

Hadleigh Agnew: This year my main goal is to grow into a leader and better my team as a whole. This would mean building a team whose core values reflect strength, respect, and commitment. This goal is already in the works!

VYPE: What has soccer taught you that you use in your daily life?

HA: Soccer has taught me to be patient. It is so easy to get angry when your teammate messes up or when the ref makes a bad call. But just like life, frustrating things happen, and we must go about these things with a level head or situations can be blown out of proportion.

VYPE: What’s your favorite part of being involved in soccer?

HA: My favorite part of being involved in soccer is the community! I’m grateful to have teammates that truly care about me.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

HA: My parents inspire me most because of the way the hold themselves and treat others.

VYPE: What do you think is the biggest challenge in soccer?

HA: The biggest challenge in soccer is to have a team with chemistry. Without chemistry a team can be good but never great; it is vital.

VYPE: What do you think makes a great soccer player?

HA: A great soccer player can play anywhere without complaining.

VYPE: Who in your family is the best athlete? Explain.

HA: My uncle! He was an extremely talented baseball player and football player in high school. He even got the opportunity to play football in college.

VYPE: What’s one sport you wish you could play that you don’t already play?

HA: I wish that I played rugby! It’s a mix of football and soccer.

VYPE: What’s your go-to pregame song?

HA: Brain Stew.
