Mark Russell: I started playing golf when I was one and half years old and started school golf my freshman year and now am a senior.

VYPE: What’s do you love about your teammates at SHS?
MR: My favorite thing about my teammates is just the sense of humor everyone has we all make sure we have fun but still try to improve our game.

VYPE: Do you have a favorite course to play?

MR: My favorite course would have to be Cedar Ridge it’s decently tough, but I managed to put together a 74 out there.

VYPE: Is there a teammate who has impressed you this season?
MR: Abram Hillsberry, I just met him this year, but I have noticed major improvement since the beginning of the season and it’s really cool to see him improve at such a fast pace.

VYPE: What’s the strength of your game and what have you improved on the most this season?
MR: Lately I have been very good on the green with my putting I have not once, not trusted myself, but I have been working on my ball striking trying to become more and more consistent.

VYPE: Who is a big inspiration in your life?
MR: My biggest inspiration on and off the course would have to be my Great Grandpa he’s the one who got me into golf and is the reason I plan to never give up.

VYPE: What are your plans after you graduate?

MR: After high school I will be attending a trade school in hopes to open up my own putter shop where I will be able to fabricate putters and sell them.
