Sand Springs football standout Alex Dudley has played the game for as long as he can remember. Now a junior, Dudley started his football journey when he was entering elementary school.

“I am in the 11th grade, and I started played my when I was in the 1st grade,” said Dudley.

This season the Sandites have enjoyed a lot of success on the field. Their two early loses on the season came against the two best teams in Class 6A, Owasso and Bixby. Dudley said the team has worked hard to have a great season.

“The season has been really good for me and the team.”

When asked about his teammates, Dudley said they are more like family, and someone is always keeping everyone loose.

“Trayshawn Pyles is the funniest guy on the team and Tommy Forbes is the most serious and is all about getting his work done,” Dudley said. “You should cover Emory Smittick at linebacker, he’s a dog.”

Dudley also plays shortstop for the Sandites baseball team, but he is focused on football and making the most of every play. Gameday is special to Dudley.

“I like to watch film and just think about football and only football on gamedays,” Dudley said. “I would like to go play college football somewhere after I graduate.” In the classroom, Dudley said his favorite teacher is Mr. Stephens and when he has some down time, he enjoys playing video games and hanging out with his friends.
