OUTLOOK
Several new faces will dot the lineup for the Lady Sandites this season as head coach Paige Wadley looks to replace a few spots with players ready to step into larger roles on the team this season.
“This team has a lot of new faces and new people filling big roles for us this year. They are competitors and work hard. They take advantage of opportunities through aggressive defense, always looking to force turnovers and push the ball up the court. We are young but do have some size in the paint this season! I’m counting on our two seniors, to lead this young group and set the tone for success,” said coach Wadley.

One of those seniors is Hope Bump (5-9, Sr.) who will play a guard/forward spot this season. Bump has offers from NEO and Connors to play at the next level. She brings a high-IQ to the court and is a high percentage shooter. Abbie Martin (5-8, Sr.) is the other senior coach Wadley mentioned. Martin has a tremendous work ethic, great attitude and fills in wherever the team needs her. She can also drain the three-ball.
Nevaeh Garrison (6-0, So.) is a young player who can get to the rim and clean up the boards. Garrison plays a physical brand of basketball and could have a breakout season. Khloe Glass (5-6, Jr.) is a guard who consistently pushed her teammates to get better. Also look for Saori Welch (5-6, Fr.) to come in and make a splash this season. The freshman has excellent skills with the ball, can knock down shots and play solid defense. Other players to watch include Kaydrin Bowden (5-5, So.), Lily Crain (6-0, So.), Brinley Jackson (5-5, Fr.), Emily Logan (5-9, Fr.), Nevaeh Miles (5-6, Jr.), Talliah Rushing (6-1, So.), Chloey Smith (5-10, Fr.), Calla Fueshko (5-7, Jr.), and Aaliyah Burris-Chism (5-6, So.).
