SAND SPRINGS SANDITES

Coach: SHELLI BROWN

21-17

OUTLOOK

With a mix of seasoned veterans and fresh faces, coach Shelli Brown will field a team a little on the young side this season but will have good leadership from some upperclassmen. “Sandites will be young this season and will be led by our seniors Addie Hughes and Ashlyn Clark. We have some young players and I’m excited to see them grow and develop into some strong players,” said Brown. Addie Hughes (P/1B, Sr.) is the go-to player on the mound for the Sandites. With good control and velocity, Hughes will play a key role in keeping Sand Springs in games and giving the offense the opportunity to grab some wins. Hughes was named to the VYPE Top 100. Ashlyn Clark (OF, Sr.) was the other senior coach Brown mentioned. Clark has good speed in the field and on the bases. Lakelyn Harger (3B/P, So.) started as a freshman and will play the hot corner and see time in the circle. Harger is an exciting young player coach Brown believes will help this team in several categories. Also look for Savannah Ramsey (OF, So.) in the outfield and Bailey Copeland (2B/SS/OF, So.) this season. Both players continue to show they belong at the varsity level and have worked hard at the plate. Bella Wilson (C, So.), Audree Robinson (C, Jr.) and Rowan Hull (C/3B/SS, Fr.) are three athlete who can post up behind the plate. Hull could see time at a couple of spots in the infield. Also look for Sawyer Briscoe (2B/SS/OF, Fr.), Lexi Penner (P/1B, Fr.), and Shelby Schuler (3B/OF, Fr.).
