The Charles Page High School Sandite boys soccer program continues its steady rise under the leadership of head coach Russell Ragland, now entering his third season at the helm. Since taking over, Coach Ragland has worked tirelessly to transform Sandite Soccer into a program focused not only on player development, but on shaping better students and young men.
Just a few short years ago, the Sandites endured a season without a single win. Today, they are a team that competes in every match, keeps games tight, and enters the final weeks of each season fighting and clawing for a playoff spot. Once dead last in the district, Charles Page now demands respect—opponents know they will have their hands full when facing the Sandites.
The growth has come through a clear emphasis on physical preparation, technical skill, and tactical understanding. That foundation has created a group that plays with confidence, discipline, and relentless effort across the pitch.
This season’s squad is led by five returning starters: Eli Bise, Landon Anderson, Lyndon Mercer, Esteban Macias, and Lucas Roberts. Around them is a reloaded core of technically gifted and hard-working players ready to elevate the program even further. Varsity returners expected to see expanded roles include Austin Shope, Parker Fitz, Brody Cater, and Ryan Langston.
Adding even more excitement are new faces poised to make an immediate impact at the varsity level—Brody Barton, Zayne Gibson, Liam Antonelli, and brothers Edwin and Emanuel Guerra—names Sandite fans will be hearing for years to come.
Expect the Sandites to fly around the field this season, making a name for themselves with their trademark relentless, all-gas-no-brakes style. Charles Page soccer is no longer overlooked—and under Coach Ragland, the best chapters of the program’s story are still being written.
