2024-25 Record: 9-16
OUTLOOK
It’s the beginning of a new era at Sapulpa High School as Chris Wallace takes over the boys basketball program after the team went 9-16 a year ago. Coach Wallace said the team is coming together and will have a nice mix of experience, talent and a strong bench.
“Last season, Sapulpa finished 9–16, and our program is determined to take a significant step forward. With a strong group of returning players, a few new additions, and a new coaching staff focused on fundamentals and culture, we expect to change the direction of the program. While heavy travel and some players in football present challenges, we’ll have to work harder to overcome them and improve the program,” coach Wallace said.

Jace Parker (5-10, Jr.) is a VYPE Top 100 selectee and someone the team will lean on for point production and leadership. Parker is an athletic guard who brings excellent court vision, solid passing and the ability to hit from any spot on the floor. Joining Parker at guard is Gunnar Goodnight (5-10, Sr.). Goodnight brings his salty defense and shooting to the floor again this season. The combo of Parker and Goodnight is a tough one for opponents to stop.
Tyler Morgan (6-4, Sr.) will start at forward giving the team someone who can battle inside for rebounds and score in the post. Morgan is not alone in the paint. Brayden Pelky (6-4, Sr.) joins Morgan at forward adding more size and the ability to battle for loose balls. Pelky can be the X-factor for the Chieftains by giving the team quality minutes on the floor and stepping up on the defensive end of the court.
Also look for Brice Currin (5-10, Jr.) at guard. Currin has worked hard to be a dependable player and has stepped up his intensity on defense. His ability to push the ball and work in transition is another element this team will use to find success this season.
